Cayman has a wide selection of world-class spas offering a host of treatments to leave you feeling your absolute best. From soothing massages to rejuvenating facials and pampering body treatments, there is something to suit the most demanding of clients. Here are our picks of the very best Cayman spas to help soothe mind, body and soul and leave you feeling like a true VIP.
Spa at Seafire, at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa
Schedule little ones into Camp Seafire, then book your treatment via the exclusive Kimpton App and enjoy a day of decadence at Spa at Seafire.
Cayman’s newest high-end spa is a true feast for the senses offering more than 8,000 square feet of pampering. The breathtaking facility features a chic interior designed to bring Cayman’s natural beauty inside, with aquatic touches and Caribbean colours throughout.
Alongside traditional spa treatments, the Spa at Seafire features Cayman’s first and only Turkish Hamman — a must for those looking for a truly decadent treatment.
This ancient two-hour Turkish ritual combines the purification of steam combined with a ceremonial cleansing of water. Nourishing oils containing basil, lemon, anise and Vitamin E help evoke a relaxing, island-inspired atmosphere, offering a true treat for the senses.
Alternatively, get for a massage on Cayman’s only quartz treatment table. The table features warm sand that ergonomically positions and envelops the body to help deeply relieve muscle, arthritic and joint pain to aid in facilitating a deeper sense of relaxation.
Of course, while enjoying some world-class treatments, nothing makes you feel like a Cayman VIP more than enjoying the spa’s “Caymankind” service.
“Seafire prides itself on exemplary service, and staff will always go above and beyond to ensure guests have the best stay,” spokesperson Shayna Alston says. “With more than 35 percent of the staff Caymanian or permanent residents, guests also experience true Caymanian hospitality as well as the sincerely personal style of Kimpton service.”
If your wellness day needs a boost, be sure to check out the hotel’s gym. Spanning some 1,700 square feet, it features leading-edge fitness equipment in addition to stunning views over the resort’s lush gardens.
La Mer Spa
They say all good things come in small packages, and the La Mer Spa certainly lives up to this old adage. Thanks to its smaller size, La Mer Spa is able to offer its guests a highly personalized VIP service, including custom treatments for those who wish to enjoy the spa with their little ones.
La Mer Spa can be found at three locations: two boutique spas at the Wyndham Reef Resort in East End and at their flagship boutique at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort along Seven Mile Beach. The Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort location will close for renovations in April.
“If you can’t get to the spa we do offer mobile service available from West Bay to East End,” Sarah Ferguson, spa manager at La Mer Spa, says.
La Mer Spa offers a wide range of treatments including facials, massages, hand and foot therapies and body treatments, as well as a hair salon.
The spa focuses on using plant-based treatments, including aromatherapy, phytotherapy, fruit therapy and marine therapy, using high-end luxurious skincare products, including French brand Yonka.
Post treatment, head to the Marriott’s chic Anchor & Den and feast on a selection of island-inspired dishes and eclectic cocktails, or take time out to enjoy one of the resort’s many activities, from sunrise yoga to the popular beach bonfire with complimentary s’mores.
Hibiscus Spa at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa
The Hibiscus Spa at the luxurious The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa boasts 13 treatment rooms, two steam and sauna rooms, women’s Whirlpool tub and exclusive Vichy rain shower treatments.
Guests can feel like a true VIP by booking the spa’s exclusive Heaven on Seven Private Escape. Enjoy a couple’s massage in a private beachside cabana with the sound of the Caribbean Sea gently lapping at the shore, then enjoy a gourmet dinner served by your own personal butler at the resort’s private gazebo right on the water’s edge. Guests are guaranteed a sumptuous coastal cuisine feast; the resort’s Beach House restaurant earned the AAA Four Diamond Award and Wine Spectator’s 2016 Award of Excellence.
Of course, the spa also offers a wide range of traditional treatments, alongside a selection of packages, spanning anything up to five hours of blissful pampering.
Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their treatment to make use of the spa’s extensive facilities, and of course enjoy tea and snacks in the relaxation room. For those with little ones, make use of the resort’s Westin Kids Club, where they can enjoy a fun selection of activities while you unwind.
la prairie spa, at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman
Boasting one of the finest treatment menus in the Caribbean alongside The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary five-star service, la prairie spa is a must.
Offering an indulgent experience for all the senses, the spa uses la prairie products, a luxurious forward-thinking Swiss skincare brand that features the very finest ingredients for the ultimate spa experience.
The Island Dream Body Treatment is also a must, designed exclusively for the spa. It features a skin smoothing treatment followed by a relaxing soak in a warm tub and a full body massage, guaranteed to leave you looking and feeling like a VIP.
Of course, there’s so much more at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman to enjoy — so you might want to set aside the entire day. Gourmands can enjoy a world-class dinner or lunch at the Caribbean’s only AAA Diamond Award restaurant (book one of the private dining rooms for the ultimate VIP experience), Blue by Eric Ripert, while little ones can enjoy a day at the award-winning Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau.
