Five-star amenities and blissful surroundings define luxury beachfront living

Picture waking up and pushing back your curtains to reveal views of the powder-white sand below on Seven Mile Beach. From your oceanview balcony, you can watch the waves roll in while lounging in a bathrobe over breakfast whipped up by your private chef. If this scenario isn’t blissful enough, a trip to the Turkish-style hammam and spa is sure to get you in vacation mode. Except this doesn’t have to be just a vacation. When you check in to Grand Cayman’s latest crop of luxury hotel residences, such as The Residences at Seafire and Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Residences, these five-star amenities are yours on a daily basis.

Luxury living

Debuting last year, the 10-storey The Residences at Seafire shares a 12-acre property with AAA’s Five Diamond-rated Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa sits on one of Grand Cayman’s most sought-after pieces of real estate: Seven Mile Beach. Featuring 62 units that retail from $1.5 million to $8.1 million, The Residences offer plenty of options and price points, whether you desire a sleek studio or an expansive five-bedroom residence. And the crown jewel of each residence is the sweeping view of Seven Mile Beach and the North Sound.

“Our first Seven Mile Beach residential development proves innovative design and luxury beachfront living can seamlessly create a space in which you have the best of both worlds: the serenity of your private home and resort services at your fingertips,” says Dart Real Estate President Jackie Doak. “Whether it’s a full-time residence or a second home, The Residences at Seafire offers a living experience unlike any other in the Caribbean.”

New homes at Seafire will look just as design savvy as the resort. Furniture packages and modern finishes reflect the inspired work of English interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, whose clients include the Kardashians. And while residents have access to the resort’s amenities — three signature restaurants, fitness centre and the Spa at Seafire — they also have perks of their own, such as a residents-only swimming pool and private rooftop lounge.

Another new Seven Mile Beach property, Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Residences offers options from studios that start at $522,000 to three-bedroom units that start at $4.97 million — competitive pricing when compared to nearby residences. “This resort offers premier Grand Hyatt services, generous resort amenities and prestigious owner privileges at a remarkable value,” explains Kim Lund, the exclusive listing broker for the property and broker/owner at RE/MAX Cayman Islands.

Resort-style services are a major draw for hotel residences, but brokers are finding that this type of investment lends itself particularly well to a destination like Cayman, where owners can opt to rent their units to hotel guests for additional income if they’re not living there year-round.

“It all adds up to an extraordinary price-per-square foot value that will quickly draw the attention of savvy buyers who appreciate the qualities of prime location, the draw of a global hospitality brand and the confidence of an experienced development team,” says Ms. Lund.
