The splendour of the Cayman Islands’ beautifully calm crystal-clear waters is the high point of any visitor’s itinerary and the perfect setting for Harbour House Marina’s 13th Annual Boat Show. Taking place Saturday, July 29, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., the show is set to be a festival of outdoor boating fun, complete with barbecue pit masters and craft beer by Cayman Island Brewery. Industry experts, including representatives from Boston Whaler, will be on hand to answer any questions from aspirant boaters or enthusiasts looking to upgrade.
If the boats, brews and barbecue aren’t enough to tickle your fancy, visitors are invited to test-drive models during the event. “You probably wouldn’t spend $50,000 on a new car without having a run in it,” says the marina’s general manager, Jonathan Cuff. “We kind of feel the same should apply to a boat, because without really getting it into the water and taking a ride, you can’t really tell whether it’s the right boat for you.”
The marina will also be offering its full fleet of services, including boat servicing and chandlery in its new 6,000-square-foot Boat Service Centre — the largest dedicated marine service facility in the Cayman Islands.
